Christmas

I cannot believe it is almost Christmas already! I have so many things to do. But honestly, I don't like Christmas. MOst of all, I HATE Christmas music. I don't know why I dislike it so much, but I do. I could most definitely do without Christmas, the carolers, the music in general, people everwhere. The only thing I do like is the decorated homes. I love seeing houses that people go all out for Christmas and have big candy canes and soldiers outside with beautiful lights.

Missing Girl

A week ago a girl from Texas was vacationing in New York when she met a man. They met at a nightclub in NYC, not any nighclub but a very upscale one. Foolishly the girl was seen on videotapes leaving the club with these two men who were said to have been from Pennslyvania. The girl has not been seen since this night. When the police watched the tapes from the club, they were able to figure out who the men were that she left with. One of the is a known sex offender. When they entered the gentlemens house in Pennsylvania they found that all the carpets in the house were torn up and taken out of the house. When I hear stories like this I feel extremely bad for the victim and the family. But in all honesty, I think that girls that leave anywhere with people they don't know are stupid. There is no reason to leave somewhere with guys that you haven't known for a while. I hope this girl is found alive and this man is convicted of any harm that he has put on any girl.

Where is Caylee?

This ongoing situation with a mother and her toddler daughter have baffled experts. This mother from Orlando, FL had supposedly known that her daughter had been missing for a total of 30 days before she ever reported anything about her missing. There was never a body of the toddler found, but they did have proof that there was a decomposing body in the back of the mother's truck. The mother is pleading innocent and this URL below will bring you to a video containing breaking news about the situation. Reporters say that the defendants team are now bringing up arguments that Caylee had overdosed on a medicine. The mother is up against death penalty charges, and all they can come up with is the girl overdosed? Everything points to the mother. She didn't report her very young child missing for 30 days? That is very bizarre. Then she said that her daughter was somewhere in the country with another person, and now the child overdosed? I think it's horrible whatever has happened to that little girl and I hope that whoever did it, pays for it.

Obama's President

For the first time in history, the US has a black president. I think it shows a lot about our country coming together and accepting everyone as equals. I was reading an article earlier on what Obama is said to be his first priortiy while in presidency, fix the economy. People believe that he should first convince Congress to approve the tax cuts. Which, is one of the many things that Obama has promised in his campaign. Experts say that if Obama can pull off the tax cuts, he will have a great chance at succeeding in following through with the rest of his promises to the country. "Between now and inauguration, every group in the country is going to lay down their marker as to what they think should be done, what they need, what they want and how they got him elected," Rothenberg said, adding, "This is a very fine line with various constituencies. Everybody wants a piece of Barack Obama."

Lisa Bloom- "Woman Shot Dead at Church"

I was watching tv with one of my roomates when we came across an Open Court tv show with Lisa Bloom as the speaker. A man, Billy Nathan Lee is being charged for killing his girlfriend, Carma Russel while she was leaving the church she belongs to. The man that is being charged is a previous convicted felon for breaking and entering. Lisa Bloom has asked two representatives from the defendant to join her on the show. They had no arguments. I believe that this man will definitely be charged with this crime. After the shooting when the cops arrived, he walked up to the car with his hands up and said, "I shot her, I shot her." At that time, he was arrested. Apparently the woman was being abused by this man for years. She had been talking to her Pastor about the situation when she finally got the courage to leave with her 4 children. And, this is what happened. He shot and killed her. This is just a horific story. I mean here's this poor woman who finally had the strength and courage to leave this abusive situation and he finds her and kills her. What is wrong with people? You kill her outside of the one place she finds comfort? I really feel bad for her family and her children, they must be devastated.

my puppy

Well, I'm going back to Jersey today and I can't wait to see my puppy!! Not the dog that lives with my parents but that dog that lives with my best friend Travis. One day in May me and my 2 best friends Eddie and Travis were driving around when we saw a baby pitbull all by herself. She was the prettiest pitbull I had ever seen and I immediately fell in love with her. The 3 of us debated about what we should do until we finally decided to take her with us. So, we got out of the car and grabbed the puppy. From the second we got her, she was the sweetest little thing ever. I mean she would bite and things like that but nothing out of the ordinary for a puppy. We notified the police, just in case she belonged to a family that was looking desperately for her. No one had filed anything about a baby pitbull so we kept her! The first night, she slept at my house and I had to hide her from my other dog and my dad. But, my dad ended up hearing her and he came into my room and absolutely fell in love with her just as much as I had. Since we all knew I was leaving for school at the end of the summer we didn't think it would be right for her to get settled and comftorable in my house and then I would just be getting up and leaving her. So, we all decided that she would live at Travis'. It took a few hours to convince his mom, but we did it. And now she's so big! I can't wait to see her. I love her so much, words do not come close to explaining.

WEEKEND

I can't wait for this weekend!! It's going to be amazingg!!! I'm going home for the weekend but I'm taking my cousin with me. So, we're going to go and see all my friends at home and party with them. I miss them, I can't lie. I didn't think I'd ever want to go home even to see some of my friends but I'm pretty excited. I mean I've already said how much I love college but you know, you always miss some things. So, it should be fun to see friends. I know that all their going to do is ask me about college and what I've been doing. I swear, ever since I started college whenever I talk to anyone no matter how many times they've already asked me, they will still ask me how college is and what I've been doing. Like the answer I gave the day before is any different? Whatever, I guess they just care. But, yes this weekend should be very fun, cant wait!!
